Privacy Policy
Your Privacy Matters
At VocalNote, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your voice data and personal information.
1. Data Processing & Storage
VocalNote uses AI to process your voice notes.
- Guest Users: Audio is processed and stored locally on your device. We do not persist your audio on our servers after processing.
- Members (Logged In): To enable synchronization across devices, your audio files and notes are securely stored on Cloudflare R2 and Supabase.
- Developer API: Data sent via the API (Audio, JSON) is processed in real-time. We maintain a detailed log of every API call (timestamp, duration, endpoint, cost) for billing transparency.
- Webhooks: When you specify a Webhook URL, resulting transcriptions are transmitted automatically to that endpoint. Please ensure your endpoint is secure.
- AI Training: Audio data sent to the Gemini/OpenAI APIs is used exclusively for generating your content. It is never used by us or our partners to train public AI models.
2. Data Storage
For Guest Users: All notes are stored locally on your device. Clearing your browser cache will delete your notes.
For Members: Your notes are synced to the cloud, allowing you to access them from any device. However, we still recommend exporting important data.
3. Data Sharing & Infrastructure
We do not sell your personal data. We utilize trusted third-party infrastructure to provide our services:
- Google Gemini / OpenAI: For AI transcription and rewriting.
- Cloudflare: For edge computing, security, rate limiting, and object storage (R2).
- Supabase: For database, authentication, and API logging services.
- Polar.sh / Stripe: For secure payment processing.
- Your code or software integrating our API is considered a "Third-Party Interface," and we are not responsible for how your own application handles data.
4. Consent
By using our app, you consent to our privacy policy.
